About

VidCon is for people who love online video. Independent creators, enablers, viewers and supporters of all kinds. The ways that we entertain, educate, share, and communicate are being revolutionized. The creators attending and on-stage at VidCon are central to that revolution. The best part is, we’re having the time of our lives doing it.

VidCon was created Hank and John Green two pioneers of the online video community with over 250 million views. VidCon is both an industry conference and a great big party. We want people to make important business contacts to grow their companies and their careers, but we would prefer that they do it while dancing to a rock song about Doctor Who.

The Anaheim Convention Center was so great last year, we decided to stay again this year! The Anaheim Convention Center is allowing us to accomodate far more people than ever before (we kept selling out, and we felt bad about it). We’ve got some huge plans, and as they continue to take shape you’ll see them on the Agenda page.

Of course VidCon, more than anything, is about whatever you want it to be about. And for that reason, we desperately require your input with regards to content you’d be interested in. If you have suggestions or ideas for great content, speakers, performers, etc…please email us at ideas@vidcon.com or leave a comment below.

We’re looking forward to an even more spectacular event in 2013 and we hope to see you there.

Hi! VidCon 2012 was perfect as it was, but if I had to give any input on what I’d like more of is more interaction between the creators and fans. And I don’t just mean like a meet-up, have them play a game together or do stuff with the audience, I don’t know.

I agree COMPLETELY. There really should be more interaction between the creators and fans. I would do anything to come at least 3 feet away from Smosh! But I understand that there are certain restrictions, because they all are just as famous as any celebrity,so they might need to have a limit. But it would be VERY nice… because haven’t you thought, “wow, they might think of me as a talent less stranger, but if I only showed them how funny I am…they would think more of me…:*( I depress myself A LOT when I say that… because I really want to get close to them, so I buy an industry pass every time, but since I don’t get to meet my favorites, like Toby,Smosh, and TheFineBros, I have to leave VidCon in tears each time…I’m not patient, and my luck is horrible, so of course I’ll end up having to wait a billion hours for a bunch of other people to meet the creators…luckies! :*(

Have you tried to get Chameleon Circuit to perform? I think it would be an amazing concert.

Savannah, Chameleon Circuit played at vidcon 2011, they didn’t play this past year because Alex Day couldn’t attend.

    Hi,
will Alex Day be there next year?

And as far as ideas and wishes go, I think John and Hank should perform 500 Miles on the main stage :)

I second that about Chameleon Circuit! Or Hank could play a cover; the few seconds of “An Awful Lot of Running” that were in a vlogbrothers vid were fantastic!

And I have the same question as Sabrina. Alex’s is my second favorite YouTube channel, and I would totally go if he were to attend.

Lol. Yes, Kian is going to be there. Along with Ricky Dillion, Connor Franta, Ricardo, Sam Pottorff, and Trevor. (Basically all of O2L) oh, and I belive Andrea Russett (kian’s current gf) will be there as well. I was wondering the same a few weeks ago, but then I watched one of there O2L videos and they all mentioned they’d be attending.. Btw, if you don’t know what or who O2L is, it has Kian in it and a bunch of other youtubers (all named above). They’re amazing and I love them. If you like Kian, you’ll LOVEEEEE them <3

I’m looking for an expo exhibitor from Vidcon 2012. It was an online tshirt company that would help you set up a website to sell shirts, take orders, make the shirts, and send them out. There were several there. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

    Alicia Vizcarra

    Brittany

I would appreciate it a lot if somebody answers me :)
So I am going to Vidcon this year and I was wondering what time I should arrive and what time i should leave. I don’t want to be the first one, nor when it’s too late to check out the whole convention center.
One last thing, do FANS come on Industry day? or is it just for the youtubers? I have a feeling that I should come on Day 1 and 2

    • April 1, 2013

      Krista

i think day 1 is for people with industry tickets so if you dont have one you shouldnt go and i think 2 and 3 would be the best days to go and all i know is playlist live started at 11 and people started showing up around 8 so deffinitly i would say go to the convention center a few hours before its schedualed to start
