1. At 12:01 AM on the day your shift starts, you must be 18 or older to volunteer.
2. You can only fill out the submission form once, make it count.
3. Please be honest about your availability and only sign up to volunteer on the days you’re available. If you can’t volunteer everyday, that’s cool. It wont hurt your chances of being selected.
4. Shifts will range from 1/2 day to full day.
5. You are required to purchase your own VidCon ticket. If you become a volunteer and complete your assigned shift, we will reimburse you 50% to 100% (depending on your shifts) of the price of (1) community ticket. Reimbursements will be processed in August once VidCon has concluded.
• Completion of (2) 1/2 day shifts or (1) full day shift = 50% reimbursement
• Completion of (2) 1/2 day shifts + (1) full day shift = 100% reimbursement
• Completion of (2) full days shifts = 100% reimbursement
• We are not able to offer complimentary lodging, transportation, or reimbursement of meals.

VidCon’s registration site will be down for maintenance starting Friday, April 19 at 6:00 PM PST and will re-open Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2:00 AM PST.

You will not be able to complete a new registration or modify any existing registrations during this time.

If you are not yet registered for VidCon, we suggest you do so as soon as possible. We are selling out quickly!

If you’re no longer able to attend VidCon, or aren’t able to register in time, do not worry! There will be a VidCon 2014 (6/26/2014 – 6/28/2014).

VidCon Team

Scholarships will be awarded to deserving individuals who demonstrate the desire to continue to grow and be a part of the online community. Scholarship funds will be granted to individuals on the basis of recognition and financial need.

What’s Included?
One Grand Prize Winner will receive (2) free Community passes, a complimentary room at the Anaheim Marriott from August 1-4, 2013 and a $500 credit towards airfare (if outside of Southern California).

Three runner ups will each receive (1) free Community pass.

Who’s Eligible?
Anyone can apply for a scholarship, but if you are under 18, your parent must accept on your behalf for the Grand Prize (because you need to be 18 to check in to the hotel).

How Do I Apply?

• Step 1: Video Essay – Please create a one-minute video that answers the question “How has the online video community impacted your life?”. If your video is longer than one minute, just know that we’re going to judge based only on the first 60 seconds.
• Step 2: Submission Form – Fill out and submit the VidCon Scholarship Submission Form, which can be found here.

What Are The Rules?
You can only apply once. That’s really the only rule.

What Are You Looking For?
Our ideal winner is someone who is engaged in the community, enthusiastic about online video and motivated to learn, but doesn’t have the means to attend on their own.
