This month, YouTube was visited by over a billion people. Together, they watched more than four billion hours of video. Every year since 2010, young people have watched less television and more online video. Those of us lucky enough to be a part of this exploding industry gather yearly at VidCon to discuss the creation, distribution, monetization, and production of online video. VidCon’s industry programming features presentations from Grace Helbig, Burnie Burns, Fred Seibert, product announcements from YouTube, and conversations with Ynon Kreiz and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
In over twenty panels we’ll be discussing issues ranging from net neutrality, copyright, brand integrations, talent management, and the increasing attention from mainstream media that online video is enjoying (and occasionally fearing.)
The goal of VidCon’s industry track is to provide an opportunity for the extremely diverse world of online video to get together to discuss this still young industry. To connect, to define our values, to share strategies and passions and fears.
VidCon industry track programming will occur on Thursday, June 26th and Friday June 27th. In addition to keynotes, panels, and breakouts, your pass grants access to several receptions, our industry lounge, and all community track activities.
Industry passes are $550.
