Tyler Chou, The Creators' Attorney

Founder & CEO

Tyler Chou is the Creators’ Attorney on YouTube (31K subs in 1 year) and the founder and CEO of Tyler Chou Law For Creators, a law firm whose mission is to protect and support big creators on YouTube. Tyler also has an “accidental” agency where she represents around 30 big creators and a fractional COO advisory business where she helps creators grow their businesses from six figures, to 7 – 9 figures.  Most creators have two pain points: 1) how to make money and 2) how to protect their IP/not get in trouble — so Tyler makes content on YouTube that teaches around those two pain points and these are the pillars from which she guides her clients. Most creators on YouTube make six figures from heads-down burnout pace of making videos to make enough from Adsense and brand deals, but this is not sustainable, so Tyler takes them to 7 – 9 figure businesses and exits by launching products such as courses and consumer goods. Products like MrBeast’s Feastables, Prime Hydration, Chamberlain Coffee, and Skims (though Kim Kardashian is not a creator) — these are the products that consumers buy now, because consumers want to buy from people.

Tyler has been an entertainment attorney in Hollywood for over 16 years working at companies like Disney, Skydance, BuzzFeed, and Open Road Films as well as big law firms like Loeb and Hogan Lovells. Tyler has been the lead attorney on 18 feature films including Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks and Cinderella as well as Ang Lee’s Gemini Man, starring Will Smith, Terminator: Dark Fate that James Cameron produced, and recently Black Flies starring Sean Penn, which premiered at Cannes.
