With the rise of the creator economy, major professional sports leagues are redefining modern sports marketing to seek out innovative ways to engage — and expand — their fan base and make sports more inclusive. Content creators — experts in educating, entertaining, and exciting their audience and communities — are being drafted to provide fans with multifaceted ways to engage with the game and their favorite teams. This season, the NFL, together with YouTube and Whalar, uncovered the power of reach and engagement creators have on the sports industry. The panel will explore how creators give fans a unique and enhanced game-day experience and extend the sport’s influence on a new, younger, and diverse generation of fans.
