Tomás Mier
Music Journalist
Tomás Mier is a Mexican American music journalist. He is currently a Staff Writer at Rolling Stone, where he’s dedicated to covering trends in pop and Latin music. At Rolling Stone, he’s conducted interviews with Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, Peso Pluma, Omar Apollo, and Grupo Frontera, among others.
Tomás is a frequent guest moderator at the Los Angeles Grammy Museum, where he hosts conversations with musicians such as Ellie Goulding, Christine and the Queens, Sabrina Carpenter, and Stromae.
Before his work at Rolling Stone, Mier was a Digital Music Writer at People Magazine, where he wrote a cover story about a survivor of Marilyn Manson. His byline has also been featured in outlets such as Teen Vogue, Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, and BESE.
Tomás, the son of hardworking, undocumented Americans, was proudly born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California and holds a joint B.A. in Journalism and Contemporary Latino Studies.
