As a fanthropologist, Meredith Levine helps brands and media companies understand and create better strategies for building and sustaining fans and fandoms. Most recently, she worked with Theorist Media on their strategy team, advising publisher, brand, and channel clients on content creation and optimization for audience development in the digital video ecosystem.
Prior to Theorist, Meredith worked at Troika on a foundational research study to help understand the universal pillars of the fan experience (no matter what someone is a fan of) and the differentiating markers that make communities and fan experiences distinct (as a result of what they are a fan of). She got her start working in the intersection of online video and fandom while at ZEFR and has her M.A. from UCLA in Critical Media Studies with an emphasis in Fan Studies.
